Main Street Mall Online

Our signature management project for more than four years now is the online selling venue Main Street Mall Online. We are proud to be directly involved in the development and progress of this major site.

Main Street Mall Online is a multi-vendor selling site with a different style and function. It is one central shopping site made up of a number of what are called merchandise specific virtual malls. Each mall is, in escense, its own website featuring multiple sellers with similar, or related, product lines. Each independent seller operates their own virtual store and deals directly with their own customers. The primary site philosophy is to allow ventors to run their own business their own way.

Our Hutch Web Services has provided full website design, back end database function, site and vendor hosting, content management, search engine optimization, and re-deisgn and updating services on an on-going basis.

Online Selling Association

The Online Selling Association is a membership website in support of those who opperate their business, or a part of it, online. The site features a public area including the OSA Find-A-Seller database where members and non-members alike can list their business, selling site, and/or website. Automated signup, registration, and login functions lead to a private members section with a forum for topical discussion and a blog where members and guests share important information and ideas. The large, and growing, database of published articles provides a wealth of helpful how-to content clearly categorized and easily searchable.

The Online Selling Association serves a large number of online businesses and we are pleased to be the web design organization originally chosen to create the site and to be able to provide the on-going development and management required to keep such a website current.

WAHM's Helper

How we got into this project is a story in itself but we'll leave that for another time. Let us simply say that this site, in support of Work At Home Moms, is a work in progress that shows the extent to which a semi-stock WordPress template site can be pushed. With 30 pages, a blog, multiple plug-ins and additions, advertising support, database, and site managememt tools, it is as easy to manage as it is to use.

Artshow Websites

The original specification was for an affordable, easily deployable, website with internal management tools, that would support, and could be used by, an artist without technical knowledge of, or much experience with, the Interent. Simple enough, it seemed. It really didn't take us all that long to come up with a plan. What did take time, and a lot of experimentation, was dealing with all the great ideas that materialized as the project progressed; one leading on to the next.

The result was a product that met the original specification and delivered so much more. Now installed over two dozen times and used for artists, photographers, collectors, retail sellers, entertainers and service providers, the site has proven to be much more than the sum of its parts. And the project continues.

Point Clear Cottages

Point Clear Cottages is an Alabama business with a website provided by Zfish (formerly Blue Mullet Web Services) of Fairhope, AL. Recently the site was to be changed from its original hand-coded custom design to a WordPress-based blog site. Blue Mullet contacted us to create a custom WordPress theme that maintained the original design look and feel.

Our Hutch Web Services' senior designer, Rev. Stephen B. Henry, PhD., produced a fully compatible WordPress template that matched the original design, cleaned up some page-length issues, and added the WordPress blogging facility to the site as well as incorporating a new picture gallery feature.
